With the sun dropping quickly towards the top of the tree line, the rail train behind NS 5086 starts crawling forward out of the siding.
NS 5086 and 5200 (both HH GP38-2s) sit on the rail train in South Plainfield. Over the past week they had dropped brand new rail between CP-Potter and Bound Brook for the double track project.
They were dropping CWR along the single track. I was told by an employee it is for the double track project.
